The obvious blessing this year has been getting to know Greg.
If I had stood up and mentioned that I was in love with a good man.... it would have sounded as though my life were finally 'fixed' because I met a guy.
But it is SO much more than that.
Last spring I was compelled to sit down with Greg and share my 'story' with him.
The theme of my story is that God has been my Provider.
As a young wife and mother, as a widow, as a single mom.... God has continually provided. I can look back at months and years, and even specific days and circumstances, in which God's provision materialized perfectly. This happened most often through the people that God placed in our lives. People either stayed, or came and went... but I could see how God used them in my life at just the right time.
So this thanksgiving when I want to shout about how happy I am ... (because yes, I am SO in love).... I pause.... and remember that my happiness is not rooted in man.
It is God's provision and perfect timing that I am most thankful for.
God's timing is always right, every time.
My story is still being written.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
